Tennessee Williams and Henry in Taormina, Sicily in 1980, a year before Henry's death. Tennessee took Henry with him to the White House to receive the Medal of Freedom from President Jimmy Carter. From there Tennessee accompanied Henry to Taromina where they made quite a splash in the local media. This is thought to be the setting for Tennessee's last play, "The Lingering Hour," which, according to Tennessee, was about Henry, "The ultimate artist."
